Kurt Glowienke -
Background

I've been a working artist for the past 20 years and recently moved my studio to the Hunters Point Art Colony in San Francisco.

I began my career as a printmaker (intaglio etchings) and for ten years produced work on handmade paper.  In 1996 I transitioned to painting and since then have continued to explore working in a variety of water-based mediums.

I like to use reflective materials in my work (gold, silver and variegated leaf; bronzing powders; irridescent mediums and interference paints) which create different impressions of each piece, based on the available light.

I enjoy working on commissions.  Should you see something you like on my site but would like a work customized to your tastes, please contact me.
